Opening ceremony
The 2019 Invitational Exhibition of "The 100th Anniversary of China Pastel" was successfully held in the Ming Gallery of Art from October 1 to November 24, in Suzhou, China. Sponsored by Watercolor Painting Arts Committee of China Artists Association, Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Publicity Department of Suzhou Industrial Park.

This exhibition displayed 100 pastel works of 100 contemporary pastelists from five continents. During the exhibition, we were held the 2nd China (Suzhou) Pastel Art Festival consisting of workshops, pastel demonstrations, pastel materials fair. We propose 2 classes of pastel master workshop and 6 pastel demonstrations inviting pastelists home and abroad. Also the instructor Li Xiaolin bringed an three-day en plain air events in Suzhou.

The Award Ceremony of "The 100th Anniversary of China Pastel" hosted at the night of October 19th, when approximately 300 pastelists from over 10 countries get together in Suzhou.
We wish to commemorate China Pastel through the hundred years. The exhibition will be a great artistic exchange for pastelists to expand their vision for pastel painting, and in all benefit the pastel communication internationally.
