Press Conference
The 2019 Annual Meeting of China Pastel Network (CPN) and the press conference of the serial activities of "The 100th Anniversary of China Pastel" was held at Liqongdi Cultural and Creative Block, Suzhou Industrial Park on March 2nd.
Guest Speeches
Director of the Organizing Committee, Vice President of Watercolor (Pastel) Painting Arts Committee of China Artists Association Li Xiaolin introduced the preparation of the 6 thematic activities. More than 30 news media over the country came to report the event.
Academic Forum
In the afternoon, Award Ceremony of "2019 Pastel Art (China) Annual Exhibition" and Academic Forum co-sponsored by China Pastel Network (CPN), Suzhou Artists Association were held at Museum of Pastel Art, besides Jinji Lake. 20 awards included 1 Annual Honorary Prize, 3 Best Figures, 3 Best Views, 3 Best Stills, and 10 Brand Prizes. As the 1st event, the 2019 Annual Exhibition marked the opening of the serial activities of "The 100th Anniversary of China Pastel".
Guest Speeches at Forum
The Forum was hosted by Vice President of Watercolor (Pastel) Painting Arts Committee of China Artists Association, Vice President of Jiangsu Artists Association Lu Qinglong. Over 50 pastelists from all over the country discussed about the development of China Pastel, pastel education, painting techniques and materials.
Exhibition on Site
2019 Annual Exhibition juried and displayed 70 works from the 4 seasonal online exhibitions, "Pastel Art (China) Online Exhibition", at China Pastel official website in 2018. The awarded works were juried by master pastelists Hang Mingshi, Li Xiaolin, Lu Qinglong, Du Guohao and Lu Weixing. The Exhibition presented the positive progressing of China Pastel.
